Plugin details

Powerful little plugin to let you communicate data and trigger workflows from within a reusable element or from a repeating group cell.

✅ Send any thing from a reusable element to the outside world, and trigger an event to let the main application know when the thing has been sent.

✅ Can be used to trigger an event outside the reusable element.

✅ Trigger event on hover within a repeating group!

⚠️ Note: The plugin currently only supports sending one Thing at a time (not a list of Things).

⚠️ The "Receiver" cannot be placed inside a repeating group (but the "Sender" can!).

Instructions

There are two ways to use this plugin:
1. Trigger mode. This is the default and lets you use a workflow to specify when the data should be sent. Useful from sending within a reusable element. Note if using Trigger mode, no further setup is required in the Sender element.

2. Conditional mode. This allows you to send the specified data when a certain condition is true. This is super helpful for sending data "on hover" within a repeating group, for instance. See demo for example.

➡️ Place the "Communicator Receiver" on the page (outside of the reusable element). Specify the type of data it will receive and assign it a unique ID.

➡️ Place the "Communicator Sender" element inside your reusable element or repeating group cell. Ensure to assign it the same unique ID as in the Receiver element.

➡️ Use the "Publish Thing" action within the reusable element to send any thing! (Or set a condition to send the data when true - see demo for RG hover example)

⚠️ Note: The plugin currently only supports sending one thing (not a list of things).

⚠️ The "Receiver" cannot be placed inside a repeating group.
